Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect from the visit to Dr Divanovic?

During your antenatal visits, apart from consultation with the doctor, he will always do an ultrasound to examine the baby and make sure that all is OK. If position of the baby allows, doctor will also try to do the 3D or 4D scan. Blood pressure will be checked and urine test done.

Certain antenatal visits will require additional tests, and doctor will discuss those with you.

During your visit for a gynaecological reason, consultation will be followed by thorough examination which also includes a breast examination, Pap smear, vaginal examination and pelvic ultrasound (usually) using vaginal probe.

The duration of the consultation is not fixed and will take as long as necessary.

If you need to cancel an appointment,

Please phone the office during business hours and allow at least 1 day’s notice so that we can offer your appointment time to patients on our waiting list.

We recognise that your time is valuable, and we make every effort to run on time. Occasionally emergencies or patients require a little more time, and these cause scheduling delays beyond our control. We apologise if we keep you waiting.

Are my medical records kept private and confidential?

Your medical records will be treated as a confidential document. We will never release your file or your personal details to any third party without your consent.

What about payments?

The cost of the consultation will be communicated to you by Dr Divanovic’s receptionist when making an appointment for you.

Dr Divanovic does not have arrangements for payments with medical aids and runs his practice on an immediate payment basis. You will have to pay for the consultation and will be issued with an account and the receipt of payment which you can submit to your medical aid for refund.

The same applies for surgeries and deliveries for which you will be issued with a quote before the procedure.
